Sue: After a scenic morning run along the river, Peter & I stopped by the boat for some polishing up on the hull. First day ever that I got in my 10000 steps before breakfast! Our crew then transferred hotels to the famous Hotel Julien as Peter used his superior negotiating skills to get us the Al Capone Suite at 1/3 the regular price. We had some time in the afternoon to TCB in Dubuque which included shopping and seeing the National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium. Mike & Glenda invited us over to their beautiful home for a delicious dinner of fresh corn on the cob (note the IA version of making this as you view the video), heirloom tomatoes, & grilled chicken breasts with goat cheese and roasted red peppers. Who could have ever imagined that any of these things would be part of this trip?? I believe we all continue to be overwhelmed with a sense of gratitude of all the blessings and have now come to expect the unexpected (in a good way!). Thank you to those who have added their comments to this blog pray for our continued safe passage.
